Hey there! I’m Kassandra! Most of you already knew that! 😉 My first camera was given to me for Christmas in 2014. Once I picked that camera up, I completely fell in love and have not put it down since! If you’ve already been following my work, you know that I absolutely love newborns to about a year old…. and its funny to think that when I first started, I would turn those sessions down and run! I was talked into trying my first newborn session about a year-year and a half after I first started. My first session, I just mimicked pinterest pictures that we pinned… and I made the mom do everything but take the picture! HA! I was terrified to touch that baby!
Soooooo….. after about 6 months later… I wanted to learn how other photographers get those babies to look so adorable! I started following a newborn photographer from Centralia,Il. I just loved her work! So one day I gained the courage to message her and ask her if she ever taught. She gladly took me under her wing and had me come to her next newborn session. She taught me so much! I seriously knew absolutely nothing about photography until I met her! I had no clue how much I didn’t know! LOL! Ashlee Wethington is now one of my good friends and we talk almost everyday! I will forever be grateful for Ashlee and how much she has helped me with my photography career!
I just recently opened up my brand new studio in downtown Vandalia dedicated mostly to newborns to a year old children, but of course I love my families, engagements, seniors, and maternities! I have been so blessed to have so many great clients! I hope to continue to grow and learn! Nothing makes me more happy then creating all of those memories with families, and capturing those smiles.
